‘The Truth’ Vs Choice
I’ve had many people tell me that they simply do not have the time to watch a two hour film i.e. Zeitgeist- Which I totally understand!
I myself had this very same thought when I first saw the length of the movie. But after watching the first half hour or so... I was hooked (As were every person I have shown the movie to so far).
So what happens in the first half hour to draw you into watching it? ‘The Truth’
I have been asked by the people that have seen it to write up what the movie Zeitgeist says about religion and its origin... Here we go!
We need to start looking at things logically. If I were to tell you this story right now, and you were not a religious person...
Would you believe it?
Remember if your faith really is the truth or ‘The Gospel’- You’ve got nothing to be scared of!
The Bible has led us to believe that there is an invisible man up in the sky, watching our every move. We must all abide by ten golden commandments, if we do not- He will send us to the fiery depth of Hell where we will suffer unto utter damnation- Forever!! ... But he loves you.
Let’s take a look at this scenario, for one minute, and I want you to apply that same scenario to your normal life- But switch God for your government. Would you like it if your government watched EVERY SINGLE MOVE you made and if you stepped out of line- Just once- They will send you to be tortured for the rest of time. Would this sound like a country that you would like to live in? Driven by fear?
Religion consistently brings in BILLIONS of $’s EVERY YEAR, they pay NO TAX yet they’re always hungry for more- And they want you to hand over your cash to meet that demand- They’re always looking for more cash. They also inserted themselves within the governments and ultimately- The Vatican became an unstoppable authority unto itself.
I’m going to now talk about something that most of us see every day – The Sun.
There have been many carvings and admiration for the Sun throughout our history. It gives us vision, warmth and brings safety. The sun has been worshipped throughout our history as the giver of life. So what does The Sun have to do with modern day religion?... EVERYTHING!
Below is a depiction of the sign of the Zodiac. It represents the Sun, in the centre, as a mysterious god and giver of life, travelling through the twelve houses of the Zodiac (Which we all know) -
The Sun in the centre of the Zodiac is called “God’s Sun”. The Zodiac houses represent the twelve months of the year, the four seasons and the solstices and the equinoxes.
The twelve constellations of the Zodiac were anthropormorphized in ancient history- not only did they immortalize the constellations through either animal or human representation, they also constructed elaborate myths concerning them too. Some constellations were anthropormorphized as a representation of what happens during these time periods- for example Aquarius, the water bearer, crosses through spring, bearer of the spring waters.
The Zodiac and the houses that form the constellations have been with us since the first recorded human civilization- The Sumerians- Over 6000 years ago. It was also The Sumerians that gave us maths, science, agriculture, banks, governments - The list goes on and on, but we’ll talk more about this civilisation in the near future.
Now let’s move forward 3000 years- Ancient Egypt (Remember we started from 6000 BC when the Zodiac was first conceived)...
Meet Horus
Horus was The Sun God of Egypt – 3000 BC
Horus is the Sun anthropormorphized (The Sun Being sat on his head). Mythological Horus (Light) had an enemy named Set (Dark). Both used to battle for Earth. Horus would win the battle in the daytime but as soon as the sun set – Set (Dark) would return and banish Horus to the deepest underworld. This meant that Horus (The Sun) would in fact be ‘under(the)world’ from any perspective if you could see Set. When the Sun set it would, technically speaking, be located under the world from where they were currently standing or – The Underworld.
Dark Vs Light (Good Vs Evil) is one of the most misinterpreted myths of all time.
Horus’ Story, Egypt 3000 BC
Horus was born on December 25th to the virgin Isis Mary. His birth was accompanied by a start in the east and upon his birth, he was adored by three kings. At the age of 12 he was personified as a teacher. At the age of 30 he was baptized by a figure named Anup and thus began his ministry. Horus had twelve disciples he travelled around with, performing miracles such as healing the sick and walking on water. He was known by many names including “The Truth”, “The Light”, Good Sheppard”, “Lamb of God”, “God’s Anointed one and many others. After being betrayed by Typho he was crucified died for three days and thus resurrected...
